Mr. Firas Abi-Nassif
Firas possesses 14 years of professional experience in the technology and telecommunications space through multiple functions including engineering and engineering management, research and development, entrepreneurship, investment banking, private and public equity investing, as well as through various advisory roles to the private and public sectors. Currently, Firas manages a hedge fund that specializes in global investments in the field of technology and telecom. He also provides consulting services to financial institutions. Between 2008 to 2010 Firas held the position of Director and Head of Technology and Telecommunications Investments at Vision Capital Advisors, a New York-based hedge fund, where he led private and public equity investments. Prior to that, Firas worked at Credit Suisse’s technology investment banking group in New York specializing in corporate finance and M&A.
Firas is a founding engineer of Airvana, Inc., a worldwide leading vendor of infrastructure equipment for wireless networks, which was acquired by a consortium of private equity firms after it became a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ stock exchange
Firas holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer and Communications with Distinction from the American University of Beirut, a Master of Electrical Engineering degree with an emphasis on Telecommunications from Northeastern University in Boston, and a MBA in Finance and Economics with Honors from Harvard Business School. Throughout his career, Firas has generated six internationally patented inventions in the field of technology and telecommunications.
