Marc Tohme
Marc Tohme is a Partner and Head of Corporate Advisory at Global Gate Capital, an investment and advisory company focused on family offices and entrepreneur-led businesses, with offices in London, Geneva, New York and Dubai.
Marc started his Investment Banking career at Morgan Stanley in London where he advised European clients on M&A and Financing transactions between 2000 and 2006.
He moved to Dubai in 2006 and was part of the senior Morgan Stanley team that set up the Dubai office, where he oversaw the Financing team for the MENA region.
In 2007, Marc joined Credit Suisse and led the Investment Banking operations advising Middle East Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWF), Family Offices and Private Equity Funds.
He left Credit Suisse in 2013 and founded a Dubai-based merchant bank which was folded into Global Gate Capital in 2019.
Between 2013 and 2020, Marc was a member of the Board of Directors of the following companies: ARC (Egypt Refinery Company), Silverstone (Taqa Arabia), Gozour (Dina Farms), ASEC Cement, Raya Holding, National Printing.
Marc currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Société Nationale d’Assurance (SNA) and of Inicio Risk Solutions.
He is currently a member of the Investment Committees of Global Gate Capital Private Equity, as well as of Amethis MENA Fund 2.
Marc holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the American University of Beirut and a Finance Degree from HEC Paris. He is a Chartered Director from the Institute of Directors in London and is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
